Nepal Regional Office

To support our commitment to and belief in localization, IDP established an office in Nepal in 2024. Our diverse staff leads IDP’s work in Nepal and contributes their technical expertise and lived experience across IDP’s project portfolio.

IDP has worked in Nepal with donors such as the United Nations, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and UNICEF, along with partners such as Chemonics, Plan International, Purdue University, Kathmandu University, World Education and others. These projects address issues such as the inclusion of marginalized populations in basic and secondary education, information and communication technology to support inclusive education and technical training of the United Nations Country Team in Nepal in improving disability-inclusive human resources and operations and monitoring and evaluation.
